Biography
Attorney Alicia Linzmeier is from Pulaski, WI. She attended the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, and graduated with a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice Studies and a minor in Sociology. During her undergraduate studies, Attorney Linzmeier was on the executive boards for the Model United Nations team and the pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International.
She attended the University of Minnesota Law School and graduated with her Juris Doctor degree in 2020. During law school, Attorney Linzmeier clerked for the Anoka County Public Defender’s Office in Anoka, Minnesota and the United States Attorney’s Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After graduating law school, Attorney Linzmeier became a public defender in Eau Claire. She worked at the public defender’s office for about 2 years before starting her position at Cohen Law Offices in 2022. Attorney Linzmeier is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Women Lawyers of the Northwoods. She also volunteers as a judge for the annual State Bar of Wisconsin High School Mock Trial tournament. Attorney Linzmeier focuses her criminal defense practice on domestic violence cases, sexual assault cases, and cases alleging child abuse or neglect. She also specializes in defending restraining order cases of all types and representing juveniles in delinquency cases.
Attorney Linzmeier works diligently to secure favorable outcomes for her clients, whether through negotiation, pre-trial litigation, or trial. She has been awarded the Kuchler-Nicholson-Stilling Sensitive Crimes Award by the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in recognition of her advocacy in sexual assault cases.
In her free time, Attorney Linzmeier enjoys crafting and exploring state parks with her husband.
